The TV host on digital Nine called on parents to boycott the film’s opening, and instead take their kids to the dawn service or a local cenotaph to look over the names of dead soldiers.

This video went on viral as well… with 18.1k views and heavily mentioned in news and social medias.

With a surprisingly amount of replies questioned Karl’s outrage, a viral comment posted “Attend the dawn service, then go to the movies. Big deal,” others were shifting topic to the AFL Game hold on the same day.

What’s the secret of going on viral?

If Marvel was already a developed viral marketing champaign, “Karl on Marvel” went on viral because this content was addressing to trending topic.

Blogger’s thought:

Although the Infinity War had a word of ‘War’ in its name, that didn’t mean it release and aim to target on Anzac day.

In addition, for many years, Avengers were always release on a Wednesday in Hyots. It kinds of becoming a tradition for Marvel film.

On the contrast, the calling of Boycott on news was actually helping the film to attract more consumers in Australia…
